Encyclopedia Guide

Aliases & Update:

Added 2026-02-28Jungle Biome Part 1

Navigation:

Biome:Jungle Biome
Region:Northwest of the Campfire
Unlock requirements:Requires Campfire Level 3
Landmarks:Jungle Temples, Tar Pits, Jungle Fight Pits, Jungle Structures
Map behavior:The biome permanently expands the accessible map once unlocked.

Hazards:

  • Tar Pits

Black quicksand-like pools can slow, trap, and punish players who step in or drop items near them.

Counterplay: Stay off the dark bubbling patches unless you are intentionally looting one. Avoid opening your inventory near the edge of a pit.

  • Low nighttime visibility

The thick canopy makes navigation and target acquisition much harder than in the base forest.

Counterplay: Use the biome during daylight when possible. Keep a safe route back to camp before night falls.

  • Part 2 night pressure

After Day 4, the Cat can pressure players who remain in the Jungle at night.

Counterplay: Retreat toward the campfire once the Cat becomes active. Do not treat the Jungle as a safe night-farming biome.

Location Details & Conditions

Prerequisites:

  • Requires Campfire Level 3

Mechanics:

  • The terrain itself is a hazard, with Tar Pits acting like quicksand pools that punish bad movement and dropped-item management.
  • Nighttime visibility is extremely low due to the thick tree canopy.
  • Serves as the exclusive location for the four Jungle Temples, Jungle Fight Pits, and Jungle Structures.
  • After Part 2, staying in the Jungle after Day 4 becomes far more dangerous because the Cat can begin actively hunting players at night.

Appearance:

General:A dense, dark, and oppressive environment with a deep green color palette, a thick canopy, misty wetlands, and tropical flora.
Hazards:Features dangerous Tar Pits scattered throughout, while Part 2 also adds stone Jungle Structures and colosseum-like Jungle Fight Pits across the biome.
