
Jungle Biome
Jungle Biome is a Structure location in the Natural Feature subcategory.A high-risk, high-reward biome introduced in a major update, characterized by dense vegetation, dangerous new enemies, environmental hazards like Tar Pits, and ancient temples to explore. Jungle Biome Part 2 expanded it further with Jungle Fight Pits, scattered Jungle Structures, the Cat entity, and Mossy Mammoths.

Tar Pits
Black quicksand-like pools can slow, trap, and punish players who step in or drop items near them.
Counterplay: Stay off the dark bubbling patches unless you are intentionally looting one. Avoid opening your inventory near the edge of a pit.

Low nighttime visibility
The thick canopy makes navigation and target acquisition much harder than in the base forest.
Counterplay: Use the biome during daylight when possible. Keep a safe route back to camp before night falls.

Part 2 night pressure
After Day 4, the Cat can pressure players who remain in the Jungle at night.
Counterplay: Retreat toward the campfire once the Cat becomes active. Do not treat the Jungle as a safe night-farming biome.

Mechanics:
- •The terrain itself is a hazard, with Tar Pits acting like quicksand pools that punish bad movement and dropped-item management.
- •Nighttime visibility is extremely low due to the thick tree canopy.
- •Serves as the exclusive location for the four Jungle Temples, Jungle Fight Pits, and Jungle Structures.
- •After Part 2, staying in the Jungle after Day 4 becomes far more dangerous because the Cat can begin actively hunting players at night.

This biome was introduced in the Part 1 update on February 28, 2026.
Jungle Biome Part 2 followed on March 7, 2026, adding Jungle Fight Pits, Jungle Structures, the Cat entity, and Mossy Mammoths.
