Description

Paint Brush is a reusable decoration tool for recoloring supported furniture at the Campfire. It offers 32 selectable colors plus the default blue, but it does not repaint every placed object. The current general obtainment route is the Supply Crate after decorator items were moved there in The Forest Wakes Up update; the Decorator Class remains the guaranteed starting route.

Usage:

Equip the brush, choose a color from its palette, aim at a supported highlighted furniture item, and hold the interact key (E on keyboard) to apply the color.

Restrictions:

The brush is for supported furniture, not a universal structure editor. Lanterns, toilets, fences, and other unsupported objects will not accept paint.

Quest use:

Using a Paint Brush on furniture can satisfy the matching Tier 1 Daily Quest when that quest is active.

• Choose Decorator to start the run with the tool instead of depending on crate loot.

Tip 1

Test the target for the interaction highlight before choosing a final palette; no highlight usually means the object cannot be repainted.

Tip 2

Paint furniture after the base layout is stable. Recoloring while defenses and work areas are still moving adds work without improving survival.

Tip 3

Use Decorator when a planned build requires the brush immediately; use Supply Crates when decoration is optional and another class contributes more to the run.

Tip 4

Keep the tool until an active paint-furniture Daily Quest is finished, then decide whether its Sack slot is worth more than survival loot.
